Ford ![Stacy Ford](https://www.appealattorney.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Stacy%20Ford-1-1.png?width=250&height=375&name=Stacy%20Ford-1-1.png) Stacy J. Ford works with The Brownlee Law Firm in an of-counsel capacity. Ms. Ford is experienced at handling all manner of civil appeals at Florida’s District and Supreme Court levels, including direct and interlocutory appeals, extraordinary writs, and petitions for jurisdiction.  She is also skilled in many fields of civil litigation, such as contract and business disputes, probate/estate and trust contests, and real estate and title litigation.  Ms. Ford began her legal career as a Staff Attorney to Justice Charles T. Wells of the Supreme Court of Florida in 2002-2004.  After that enriching legal experience, she practiced for several years in the litigation and appeals department of the largest locally-based law firm in Sarasota.   In 2007, she moved to the Orlando area and served clients for more than five years at a reputable Winter Park firm, where she was primary appellate counsel, also engaged in a wide range of civil litigation, and attained partner status. Ms. Ford then began her own law firm, [Litigation and Appeals Advocacy, PLLC](http://litigationandappeals.com/), in January 2013. ## Education & Honors Ms. Ford received her law degree with high honors from the University of Florida, where she was a member of the Florida Law Review, graduated in the top 10% of her class, and was selected to be a member of the Order of the Coif.  While at UF Law, she received seven Book Awards, including in Appellate Advocacy, Advanced Appellate Advocacy, Legal Drafting, and Florida Constitutional Law.   She also was chosen to compete on behalf of, and subsequently coach, UF’s International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Team at its annual competition in Vienna, Austria. Before attending law school, Ms. Ford taught English at the graduate level of a university in far eastern Russia.  She graduated magna cum laude from Kalamazoo College in Michigan, receiving her Bachelor of Arts with a major in International and Area Studies and two minors in Political Science and Russian Studies.
